| East-Central Iowa Rural Electric Cooperative (REC) is a locally owned not-for-profit electric utility. Building on the spirit of past generations, East-Central Iowa REC continues the tradition of providing reliable and safe energy at the lowest possible price. As individuals and as a cooperative, we are committed to the communities and families we serve. We are in the business of helping people solve problems and building relationships. We are committed to providing our member-owners superior service at a fair price.
We serve approximately 6,200 member-owners and approximately 2,200 miles of distribution line in the counties of Benton, Buchanan, Fayette, Bremer, Black Hawk, Linn, Delaware, Clayton, Tama, Iowa and Johnson.
